Is It Still Protective Paint Protection Film After 5 Years?

Ever seen one of those cars that no matter how long its been driving, you can still tell — it has an unmistakeably expert look?? If you have, that may be because it has a little something known as Paint Protection Film or PPF for short. This movie is a superhero for the car's paint. It certainly preserves the paint job, and shields it from anything that may cause unsightly damage. However, here we have a very interesting question: Is this film still in good condition after 5 years on the car?

Testing How Long PPF Lasts

The longevity of PPF came up a lot. With some believing it only keeps the film good for many years, and others thinking that this is true in as little time as a few months. Wanting to get down to the bottom of this, we conducted our own study with our proprietary ppf called KPAL FILM. We laid the film down slowly on a car hood. This is the area of the car that always encounters everything from rocks to mud and other moving debris. So we decided to test the film's long term results and left it on that car for 5 full years.

Now you need to see if the PPF still looks strong.

Five years later, we took a close look at the PPF to see if it was still protecting the car's paint. What amazed us was what we found! The film was still going strong, and it worked very well. It never lifted, bubbled or cracked. This was actually good news, as it meant that the PPF still worked well in defending the paint from new scratches and other hazards. Amazingly, the paint on a car still had that shiny new appearance even after being abused by the outside elements all day!!

How long can PPF last?

The good news for car owners is that our study demonstrated car ppf can indeed last multiple years. KPAL FILM PPF showed no sign of discoloration or fading; the vibrant colors were still as fiery red, bright yellow and flowing pink in tone们—这个颜色并没有褪变或者被破坏;那鲜艳的红、亮丽的黄和流动性强大的粉都是其原本带有自己特质. One of the major benefits to PPF is how it shielded our Vantage's paint from damaging UV rays which can cause paint over time add a few extra years appearance-wise, this was not done on ours. In addition this special film formed an invisible barrier protecting the paint from daily wear and tear, such as dirt, bugs or small rocks.

Has Your PPF Lost Its Car Protection Powers?

If you already have PPF on your car, then chances are it needs to be redone so checking for its efficacy would also not hurt. But they might also allow you to see when the film needs changes — and when it doesn't.

The good news is it can be easily tested by simply washing that part of the car with some soap and water. A great quality film on the car will not peel, bubble or crack for example PPF from KPAL FILM. Essentially this means it still protecting your car paint.

How to See if PPF is Working

You can check to see if ppf film is working by observing the state of your car paint as well. Hopefully the paint looks flawless as new years later if your PPF is doing its job. If you see some scratches or hazing, the PPF has probably lost its effectiveness.

The verdict is that, PPF makes a lot of sense if you care about your upgrades retaining their paint work. Thanks to KPAL FILM powerful PPF you can have peace of mind that what is fixed on your vehicle would protect it very well.

To conclude, PPF means keeping your car safe and the paint still looking great in mint condition. Our results clearly demonstrate that 5 years later the PPF of KPAL FILM does not lose its protective properties and continues to protect varnish from scratches, dirt, UV radiation. By keeping your PPF in good shape with regular checks and care you can keep it performing as well as new, so that shiny car of yours continues to look for years.
